Cafecito opened on the Van Baerlestraat in Amsterdam, a short walk from the Museumplein. The idea was simple: serve coffee that is more than strong or quick, and make it easy for people to try specialty coffee for the first time.
One café became several. Along the way we started roasting our own coffee, and gave the rooms the same attention as the cup: how they look, how they sound, how long you feel welcome to stay.
Cafecito has grown. Three things haven’t changed.

Every Cafecito sits in a street with its own pace, and each café takes on a little of it. Some fill up with takeaway orders at eight. Others with laptops and long conversations at three.
The coffee is the same everywhere. It comes from our own roastery.
